a farewell like no other!

Goodbye summer 2011, you were everything I could have imagined and more. I became a better athlete, and a better person. I don't know how you did it but you turned me into a runner. You put up with my constant weight lifting and gave me the desire to become a better basketball player. You showed me I could be dedicated, give it my all, and still have a blast. I made even closer friendships that will last a life time. You brought me closer to my brother than ever. No, you didn't turn my skin golden brown, but you did just about everything else. I'm gonna miss you, but I can't say you let me down! :)

this is the life:)

I know it has been forever since I last wrote, I've just been living the life! My summer has been 95% focused on sports, and I love it!

Since early June I have been going to cross country and I have fallen in love. You would never think that running would be fun but it is so addicting. Last week was cross country camp at CEU. It was probably the most fun camp I have ever been to. We would run in the mornings and then just play all day long! The runs were very strenuous, but after I finished it was the best feeling in the world. Even though it was only 5 days I can already tell that I improved a lot. By friday I was a little tired but the in the final run I pushed myself and ran 3.1 miles in under 20 minutes! I've also been playing basketball. I can't wait till the season starts!

I haven't gone anywhere this summer or done anything that exciting but it has been so great. Usually by early August I am so excited for school to start and just to get back in the routine. But I love the routine I am in right now! I've been going school shopping, which is so fun! I love the gateway, american eagle, forever 21, and all the stuff! Yesterday I went to the school and fixed my schedule. Let me tell you, junior year is going to be impossible! AP calculus, AP physics, Honors English, basketball, cross country, woods, and the class I'm most excited for is Sports Med! It's going to be hard but I'm on the right path to getting my associates. My life will be sports and school, every day.

Well, thanks for reading. Not so exciting but I figured I should catch up a little bit!

livin the life!

This summer has been amazing! Last weekend I had a basketball jamboree... and played in like 8 games! It was really fun, and Saturday night afterward I went to the Real game. The only two goals were pk's but it was pretty fun!

This week has been crazy. I have been very busy with softball and mainly basketball. I am now going to cross country for basketball and I am actually loving it! crazy I know, but running, weights, and basketball is definitely the life! I have spent the majority of my summer with Jess Raab and Ash Warner. I don't know what I'd do without them! We have managed to work extremely hard but also have lots of fun.

Yesterday after basketball, Nicole, Cait, Jess, and I went and hiked the Y! Jess and I ran up some of it and it was not easy, but we had a blast! We stayed at the top for a good 45 minutes and just tanned and had a cute little picnik.

Then last night I saw Super 8. That movie is FREAKY. It was entertaining but intense! Today I had basketball and then went boating. We laid out and tried to get our tan on and we went tubing! All of our legs got fried, but it was worth it!

This weekend I have another basketball jamboree up at the University of Utah... its going to be a blast! I love my basketball team and can not wait for season! ahh!:) go bruins! loving my life, and it feels good to be back into shape!

oh and.... My brother comes home from africa saturday! YAY!:)

Week 1 of summer!

I know I haven't written at all lately... the reason? nothing in my day to day life is that exciting!

here's how my week went...

Monday- Soccer, weight lifting, basketball, roading, some more basketball, hanging out.
Tuesday- Soccer, weight lifting, running, roading, softball, hanging out.
Wednesday- Soccer, weight lifting, helping my brother, roading, hanging out.
Thursday- Soccer, weight lifting, basketball, roading test, softball, basketball, hanging out.
Friday- Soccer, license (finally LEGAL!), basketball, slept.
Saturday- ACT test, hanging out.
Sunday- Church, netflex, and probably a sleep over tonight!

I bet you are thinking... wow, why did I just waste my time reading that? haha I know, my life doesn't seem all that exciting but I'm loving summer. The one bad thing that happened is I got sunburned and turned into a freaking reptile, nasty!! haha but I love the sun! This week is going to be fun... basketball camp at mountain view.

If you have ever had to make a hard decision, I could use your help... hit me up! :) Hope everyone is having an awesome summer, I sure am! bonfires, friends, sports... what more could I ask for?:)

sorry to bore you all, but thanks for reading... I'll find something exciting to post about realllly soon!

12:45

I'm awake, making basketball workouts. It's times like this that I wish I wasn't a perfectionist. I am the only one who is going to see these workouts other than coach but for some dumb reason I think everything has to be aligned just right, and every little box needs to have the same spacing. AHH, so annoyed!

just another post:)

Well... sophomore year is over! In two years i'll be outta here:) Long time from now, but it will come. Its crazy to think about all the seniors who are leaving. Ill miss lots of them!!

Today was pretty grand! Student council- we took pictures and then I went to ernies with Holden, it was good. Spanish was pretty great because I got 87/95 on my final, BOOOYA! Math sucked though, the pre cal final was a beast, but oh well! The rest of the day was freakin fun! I went up the canyon to take pictures with my softball team, I am sure they will be the cutest things ever. After that I came home and watched the bacherlorette for a little while, super entertaining! Then went to a softball clinic that we were in charge of. It was quite fun, got to be with heler, so even better:) Now i'm watching the last song, even though Miley Cyrus is terrible, the guy (Liam Hensworth) is a BABE!

and last but not least, shout out to jess, just cause I told her I would. Haha, if you don't know, Jessica Raab is my BNF(can't disclose our secret code, sorry!) Basically we spend lots of time together and she is my basketball buddy! She made this weekend bomb, like always! If you don't know her, sucks for you!

This post isn't all that eventful, but summer is finally here, so i'm in a great mood!

sophomore year.

After Tuesday, sophomore year is over for me. I have to take a Spanish final that basically determines if I got a 4.0 all year or not. Yeah, I care about my grades, haha call me a nerd! Then I have to finish my pre cal state test and just like that, this year is over.

It's been quite the year. I've grown up a little; I've gotten better at sports, I've had to let go and I've met people who have changed my life.

First was soccer season. It seems like forever ago, but from what I remember it was great;) It was a rough season, we didn't make state, but I had a blast. and ran my butt off. I got really close to all my teammates. We had a few things that brought us together, and I wouldn't trade the season for anything!

love you kim:)

After that was basketball season. What a season that was. I played sophomore and JV, and during state, got to practice with varsity. I spent more time with my teammates than anyone else. We were always together, and we always had fun. Next season will be even better, can't wait.

After those two came softball. I don't really know how to even start to explain this season. I made varsity, and was scared to death. They were all already friends and I had to go in there and try to get them to like me. I don't think I succeeded but I had fun most the time so, what they heyyy. I think I learned the most during softball. I've never played accelerated softball or anything, so I was way behind (to say the least) but I worked hard, tried to get some confidence, and even played in all 3 state games. We didn't do so great, but those girls are probably the funniest people ever. I already miss seeing them everyday, even if it just was for practice. Next year can only get better!

Throughout the year, I definitely had my ups and downs. Student council was an up, I'll miss it next year.

Mckell and I in the homecoming limo for student council (and rick being a creep!)

As some of you may know, I lost both of my grandma's. I never really figured out how to act with it all, I'm not good with this kind of stuff. It hasn't gotten easier, but life goes on. I'll never forge them and I know they are in a better place! My brother and I got a lot closer, probably cause I matured a little bit.

Dances were fun.... Morp was probably the best one... good group, good date, good transportation, good dance:)

yeah, we are in a hearse. tay was our chauffeur.

Overall, sophomore year was an adventure, to say the least. High school's not easy, but it's easy to have fun along the way. To the friends I've made: thanks for everything:) I love you all and I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for all of you.

Here's to summer 2011:)
